Lifelong learner and advocate for nurses and patients. BSN and MSN both achieved through online education which required commitment to a structured schedule while working full time. My diverse experience in the field of nursing, both at the bedside and in management, has provided me with opportunities to see and work within many different practice models. I have worked in level I trauma centers, and rural community hospitals on many different levels and in multiple areas and levels of care.. In this day and time, managing healthcare costs have now become a major component of our nursing role in helping our patients/clients manage their care. I transitioned to academia as a Director of Nursing. I have a passion for educating nurses in providing the safest, and best quality care to our community, including client education. I also teach NCLEX-RN review to facilitate students in learning strategies and utilizing their judgment to help provide safe, quality, bedside care.
