As the head of the development department, I planned, directed, and oversaw all fundraising efforts, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and capital campaigns. This resulted in securing over $7.5 million in funding through donations, sponsorships, memberships, and grant awards during a five-year tenure.

As the department head, and the first seasoned development professional to join the organization in its 60-year history, I initiated and supervised all fundraising, marketing, and community relations efforts.

I was promoted to the role of sorority division department head at a renowned consulting company recognized as a leader in fundraising and alum engagement for not-for-profit housing groups nationwide. In this capacity, I oversaw all aspects of women's feasibility studies, and capital campaigns, and spearheaded business development efforts.

I was recruited by a former colleague and had the privilege of gaining comprehensive experience in the development profession with a dynamic and successful company. Learned that fundraising was an honorable profession and was immersed in strategic planning, campaign planning, conducting feasibility studies, and annual campaigns with the added challenge of raising funds that were non-tax-deductible to the donor.

During my tenure at this advertising, marketing, and public relations firm, I initially started as an Account Coordinator and subsequently earned a promotion to the role of Account Executive. In both capacities, I served as the primary client contact and adeptly executed comprehensive marketing, communications, and advertising programs for diverse client accounts.
