I practice the ancient art of Repoussé it is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hand with the help of tools to create beautiful pieces of art. I brainstorm and create products, that will be taught at my workshops or sold at markets I attend on weekends. I create all social media posts, correspondence including photography and editing of photos. I make sure all exposure to the public is on-brand. I am doing it all part-time.

I worked for Oliver & More as a contractor on the Guardian Life account for 6 months. I was a graphic designer who designed Brochures, Leaflets, postcards and any outgoing collateral they needed for the rebranding of their brand. I also did the DTP finishing artwork for jobs to go to print.

JD Group is part of Pepkor Holdings Limited it is a South African based investment and holding company. - Wiki Link I was the head creative, layout artist and DTP operator first for the Barnetts and later the Russells furniture brand. I designed concepts, managed the brand identity while creating catalogues, newspaper adverts, posters, supporting leaflets, in-store signage, social media, digital media and worked on TV adverts. I created and designed packaging for a house brand called Sleepmasters. https://www.sleepmasters.co.za/ . Occasionally liaising with the client on the way forward. I was also in charge of ensuring that the brand disciplines are followed and disked jobs for repro.

Barnetts (Does not exist anymore but was also part of JD Group and one of their most profitable brands to date and their oldest brand dating back to the early 1900s). I was in charge of designing and maintaining brand disciplines for Barnetts catalogues, monthly marketing calendars, newspaper adverts, posters, club and statement leaflets, catalogue support leaflets, social media, digital media and creating TV adverts. I also aided clients in the day to day running of their business. I would do all conceptualisation of promotions for the upcoming themes of the calendar months.Virgin Atlantic - I was in charge of DTP and a small portion of designing when it came to adverts or signage. I had to follow company CI that was prescribed by the New York Y&R branch and my work was approved and signed off by creative heads in NY.

Massmart Holdings Limited is a South African firm that owns brands such as Game, Makro, Builders Warehouse and CBW.At Makro, we were using Media Manager to do layouts (an SKU works layout program). It was created to speed up the layout process and production of any advertising elements. I did the layout of catalogues, leaflets, run of press ads, designing of Facebook and social media as well as big promotion concepts.
