Attended Innis College Council meetings to provide student input on college decisions. Served as secretary of the College Affairs Board and moderator of the Student Services Committee.

Responsible for managing all internal and external communications of the Innis Residence Council. Prepared biweekly meeting minutes and revised council constitution to better suit needs of fellow executives and members. Established a public newsletter for all council initiatives, and managed a team of social media/marketing directors in creating posters and social media advertisements.

Arranged promotion campaigns, logistics, materials and finances for all residence-wide events, open to over 500 participants. Managed house representatives and club co-chairs in their event planning process. Maintained partnerships with student groups, campus-wide services and businesses. Advocated for residents and presented event updates/debriefs during council meetings.

Communicated with and addressed the concerns of house members on a regular basis in person and through email. Planned, promoted and coordinated 6 residence-wide events. Represented house members at Innis Residence Council meetings and residence forum. Received the Dean Garry Spencer Award and elected as Vice President Social due to outstanding work in this position.

Supervised by Dr. Golnaz KaroubiInvestigated the effect of 3D environment structure on genetic differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells into alveolar organoids. Conducted literature reviews relating to hiPSC gene expression tracking, hiPSC differentiation in organoids, and the effect of 3D environment structure on organoid development. Designed 3D culture environments mimicking alveolar morphology with AutoCAD. Maintained alveolar epithelial cell cultures and organoids. Optimized cell seeding and immunohistochemistry protocols.

Directed the sponsorship program for the UTMUN 2023 conference. Created sponsorship packages for university faculties and businesses, and communicated with sponsors. Expanded the sponsorship program by doubling the amount of sponsoring faculties for the conference.

Assisted with a corporate sponsorship campaign for UofT’s high school Model UN conference through emailing campaigns. Presented conference updates and sponsorship packages to NGOs, corporations and government branches. Promoted to Operations Director on the UTMUN Secretariat for contributions to the sponsorship program.

Managed fellow first year councillors, and oversaw the planning and execution of events for first year students across all three UofT campuses. Organized and presented at a Town Hall meeting for all first-year students to converse with the First Year Council and voice their suggestions for events. Coordinated and chaired an academic networking panel where faculty members discussed their research with first-year students. Scheduled commission meetings and prepared meeting agendas and minutes; outlined overall objectives for each commission meeting and the commission as a whole.

Wrote an academically focused background guide containing background information, in-depth discussion, case studies, and citations. Chaired a committee of 30 delegates and moderated the flow of debate. Organized approximately 500 placards, badges, and notepads prior to the conference.

Managed the posts, comments and front page of Youth Central's blog through WordPress. Supervised approximately 30 youth bloggers as an editor on the site. Wrote, proofread, edited and published posts on a weekly basis. Planned workshops on descriptive and informative writing skills, effectively engaging bloggers and improving post quality. Started and led a summer blogging session with program director and 3 other editors.

Planned ceremony and selected recipients for a series of Calgary-wide youth awards. Coordinated promotion campaigns through emailing and press releases. Adapted the awards to a virtual format in 2020 and 2021. Coordinated several social media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram to promote nominations and the awards ceremony, which received over 1000 likes. Used Adobe Photoshop to create all social media posts.

Researched cancer gene markers with undergraduate students at the University of Calgary. Analyzed public health data extensively to draw conclusions. Prepared a poster displaying results of the study. Presented findings at a University of Calgary research symposium.
