I bring over 25 years of marketing and administrative experience gained as a Legal Assistant, Title Examiner, and Realtor licensed in the State of Ohio to my current role at JMT. Currently based in JMT's San Antonio office, I work with both technical and project managers throughout the Lone Star State to grow JMT's core business sectors. As a title examiner, I performed current owner searches on residential properties covering a five county area in Southwest Ohio as well as three counties in Northern Kentucky, and in Dearborn County in Indiana. The searches were completed at the request of various banking institutions, requiring both online work as well as travel to county courthouses. The title searches verified the ownership and legal description of the property as well as any ordinances that could restrict its use. Outstanding mortgages, liens, and tax issues associated with each property were also reported.

As a legal assistant, I interpreted title reports, prepared title commitments, coordinated closings, prepared documents, and disbursed loans for residential and commercial closings. I also acted as a settlement agent for the firm when an attorney was unavailable to handle a closing. Under attorney direction, I prepared deeds, mortgages, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal documents. Additionally, I performed accounting tasks for the office, which included preparing all checks needed in day-to-day business, handling accounts payable, generating accounting reports for use by the firm's accountant, and reconciling the firm's general account.
