Hi, I am Cindy. I am a social worker with 8+ years of frontline experience. I served a broad range of targets including youth, drug users, children with special needs, and families.When I was in high school, I volunteered in a community centre and I found that helping others to improve their well-being was meaningful and motivated me to pursue social work as my career. I graduated with my Higher Diploma in Social Work from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at the City University of Hong Kong.I am passionate about helping individuals and families overcome their difficulties and achieve positive outcomes. I am glad that I had opportunities to advance in different areas, such as school social work, drug addiction counseling, preschool rehabilitation service, etc. I developed my techniques in case intervention, counseling, and case analysis through my direct service experience with different targets. I developed workable relationships with my clients through my communication and rapport-building techniques. I assessed my case comprehensively so that I could help them understand their issues and make changes to resolve them. I organized and implemented diversification programs to meet the different needs of diverse service users.As an independent and flexible person, I am a reliable team player and willing to collaborate with others. Also, I am eager to face any challenges. I hope to continue my career in the social service field and work with diverse communities to make a difference! My hobbies include baking, crafting, reading, and hiking. I like to implement programs to share my hobbies with different people.My passion for learning and growing has led me to pursue new challenges and opportunities. I am now studying the marketing management program at the University of Winnipeg. I am exploring my career opportunity in social service or marketing.
