My experiences in teaching, special education administration, project implementation and education consulting have provided me with a broad base of skills and knowledge for the next generation of learners. Most recently, I provide consulting services and coaching to school districts in central Ohio. I served as a trainer/consultant for Project MORE and represented MasteryEd across Ohio. I continue to be involved with math and reading interventions. Perceptions Math publishes Perceptions, a research-based supplemental curriculum with explicit, multi-sensory instruction in written and video format. After graduating from the Ohio State University with Bachelor and Masters degrees, I taught for 11 years in elementary and middle schools in Ohio, Florida and Nevada. In Ohio, I was a Special Education Supervisor/Coordinator for Westerville and Hilliard City Schools to oversee programs for students with emotional, behavioral, learning and multiple disability needs. In Nevada, I served as statewide Project Coordinator for a federally-funded parent training and advocacy project (PTI) to develop parent training materials, mediation services and more. In Nevada, I was an education consultant for the Nevada Technology Center for the Disabled. I taught an undergraduate course on special education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Central Ohio Special Education Regional Resource Center (COSERRC) merged into the State Support Team Region 11 (SST 11) where I was an Education Consultant for 13 years serving school districts and community schools in seven Central Ohio counties. I provided a range of professional development opportunities including RTI, Differentiated Instruction, Co-Teaching, Alternate Assessment, Extended Standards, IAT, Inclusive Practices and consultation services ranging from school improvement to corrective action plan implementation and more.
