As a recent graduate from Worcester State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and minors in Mathematics and Chemistry, I am passionate about advancing my career in biological research. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in cellular and molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, and biochemistry. During my time at Worcester State, I was a member of the Commonwealth Honors Program and TriBeta Biological Honors Society, which allowed me to enhance my research skills and academic abilities. I gained hands-on experience through my role as a Student Consultant at Open Avenues Foundation, where I designed and analyzed cytokine release and Luminex assays for tumor and CAR T-cell co-cultures. Additionally, my role as a Peer-assisted Learning (PAL) Mentor allowed me to collaborate with professors and support students in mastering microbiology concepts.My technical skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office, Python programming, and a range of laboratory techniques such as PCR, tissue cell culture, and ELISA. I am also OSHA certified, with a strong emphasis on laboratory safety and aseptic techniques. Fluent in English and conversational in Albanian, I am eager to leverage my background in research, data analysis, and educational leadership to contribute to innovative projects.
