God - Family - Work - Pleasure/Other: This is the order of priorities in my life...I've been married for 27 years to my high school sweetheart and we have three wonderful grown children and a son-in-law.I have worked for Capital Group for 19 years and have moved most recently from the Administrative Coordinator role to Business Project Associate on the Knowledge Management team in Global Portfolio Accounting. Our department handles the fund accounting for the American Funds and other products under Capital Group's umbrella. My primary focus is on Identity Access & Management..."ensuring the right users have the right access to the right resources at the right time". I'm also on the SharePoint Governance Team as well as the Fund Initiatives Team. Knowledge Management coordinates a variety of projects...from training to business continuity to technology to issues escalation and more.I sit on the Hampton Roads Leadership Board for Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. In August 2012, my youngest daughter was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. After a two-week hospitalization stay, she was rediagnosed in February 2013 with Crohn's Disease. I'm passionate about raising awareness and funds for a cure! The two annual events I'm involved in are the Putt an End to Crohn's & Colitis golf tournament and the Take Steps Walk - both of which are tons of fun and I encourage you to attend and/or support!I'm also involved in other community projects such as packaging meals for Stop Hunger Now, volunteering for On Course Fore a Cure golf tournament to help fund research for DIPG (pediatric brain cancer), and Improve Care Now - which is dedicated to improving the quality care for pediatric patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
