Proud Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. Served with the UN Forces in the Golan Heights, with the Coalition Forces in Gulf War 1 and on various domestic operations at home. Later left the CAF, to marry and raise a family. As a Service Family moved across Canada, Europe and the US. Founded and operated a successful fitness-based company, also became a certified first responder and volunteer fire fighter not long after leaving the Service.A member of the Canadian Military Community for over 35 years, I have been commited to improving the lives of service members and Veterans alike. I've also volunteered with a number of international and community-based service organizations such as Breaking Chains, a group dedicated to help victims of human trafficking in the sex trade in Europe and was also involved in a feeding program in one of the local Belgian orphanages. Served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Military Family Support Centre in Belgium and later as a Principal Advisor to another MFRC in the USA.Wrote a Policy for the Creation of a National Standard of Training for PTSD Service Dog Trainers for Military Veterans, PTSD Service Dogs for Military Veterans, and their Handlers. ( It was voted on and passed at the National Convention )
