Supervise Counseling Services -- Supervise contracted counselor providing mental health resources to the college. Mental Health Resources – Manage the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial library of resources, provide access to personal counseling, facilitate community agency referral, deliver suicide awareness, prevention and intervention training/workshops (ASIST, QPR, safeTALK), provide awareness about sexual assault and violence prevention, help facilitate Title IX investigations. Provide informational workshops and resource materials for mental healthGeneral Health Resources – Deliver healthy lifestyle promotion and education, substance abuse awareness and education, provide students’ assistance with health insurance coverage, work with local agencies on campus health fairs. Disability Services -- Administer college-wide disability services for students. Provide training for staff, faculty, and students regarding rights and responsibilities related to providing and receiving reasonable and appropriate accommodations. Work with IT and other departments to ensure adequate and reasonable support services are available at all BMCC locations.Student of Concern Facilitation – Oversee student complaint policy and procedures as well as Behavioral Intervention Team BIT) protocols. Serve as ombudsman for students. Be the college resource for discerning, reporting, tracking and appropriately responding to student of concern incidents. Provide intrusive advising for student of concern Blue Alert referrals. Suicide Awareness & Intervention -- Provide suicide intervention skills training through three internationally-accredited programs: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), safeTALK, and Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR).Facilitate Threat Assessment training for BMCC staff, faculty, and students.

Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of all tutors for BMCC campuses.Developed a tutor training program certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.Responsible for marketing, monitoring and maintaining early alert/referral system for students at risk.Work one-on-one or in groups with students placed on academic warning or probation to develop ed academic success plan.Implement new and ongoing student success practices and improvements as part of the regular College program; includes program design, evaluation, maintenance and improvement.Coordinate and oversee suicide prevention and intervention for all BMCC site.

Worked with GSM, an international, non-profit, faith-based, counseling and training organization based in Beaverton, OR. Completed their 3-year training program and established a counseling and training center in Pendleton, OR in 1993.Worked with local and regional advisory boards and the International Board of Directors to establish programs and goals for the Pendleton Center.Managed budget and finances for the Pendleton Center, which involved coordinating and supervising fundraisers and managing small grants.Personally counseled approximately 70 individuals and couples per year and supervised counselors and students.Founded the GSM Counseling Center and developed a volunteer program of 8-12 counselors and interns who offer individual, family and marriage counseling and a variety of groups and classes under supervision of Licensed Professional counselors.Used MS Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher to maintain client and donor data bases, create reports, maintain client files, write and publish newsletters and develop teaching and training materials.Led groups on parenting, boundaries, grief and loss, Thought Field Therapy, marriage, general support and abuse recovery.Developed and led a 3-day marriage therapy retreat for couples with a six-couple leadership team.Traveled extensively with GSM doing teaching and training in Egypt, Kenya, Congo, Thailand, Pakistan, and Nepal; and organized and led groups on short-term missions.Developed the supervision and peer review policies and programs for staff and students of the Pendleton Center.
