In my role as a Patent Specialist at Cetus Corporation, I worked alongside innovators and scientists to prepare patent applications for filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and World Intellectual Property Organization. During this time, Cetus Corporation developed and manufactured pharmaceutical products that targeted cancer and infectious diseases. I was responsible for staying abreast of biotechnology industry’s best practices, proactively recommending process improvements and collaborating with the intellectual property attorneys and staff to implement best practices. I stayed current on all USPTO procedures, practices and developments.
