Excited to start my new role as the Executive Director of the Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program at the University of Colorado Denver's School of Business. I'll be working closely with industry partners, faculty, students, and alumni to grow our undergraduate and graduate programs through increased student enrollment, scholarships, internships, and job placement. Additionally, I will continue to teach RMI courses.

Lecturer with the Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program within the CU Denver-Business School teaching RISK 1000, RISK 4609, and RISK 4809 as well as working within the program to assist students with industry networking. RISK 4809 incorporates the CPCU 520 textbook within The Institutes Collegiate Studies program. Students who pass my class with a B or better receive a waiver for CPCU 520. I'm proud to have been able to orchestrate this endeavor within the RMI program.

We have 2 locations to serve you: Lakewood/Belmar, we have 80 executive office suites, 3 conference rooms, day office, a golf simulator, community kitchen, therapy room, & coworking space. The office was expanded and completely remodeled in Spring 2024. In our Cherry Creek location, we have 48 office spaces, 5 conference rooms, and coworking space.There are 14 Front Range locations that our members can use for drop-in space or to rent conference rooms. Beginning January 2019, I am proud to serve as the Chair of The Action Center Board of Directors again. After serving on the board from 2008-2014, I continued to serve as the board's past president throughout 2015 and 2016. The Action Center provides an immediate response to basic human needs for those less fortunate in Jefferson County. This stellar organization is my nonprofit of choice! It is my honor to be able to again serve on the Board of Directors.

As president of the Board of Directors for The Action Center, I led a board of community leaders who set strategic policies for this wonderful organization that serves many residents in Jefferson County, CO. We are an $10 million agency that served over 28,000 residents in 2013.Our mission is two-fold. It is to both provide an immediate response to basic human needs and also to promote pathways to self-sufficiency. The Action Center is best known for its ability to meet the first half of the mission by providing food, clothing, shelter and more. The second half of the mission is so very critical to clients’ continued success.For more than 40 years, the Action Center, a human-service non-profit, has stood as a beacon of hope to the homeless, near homeless and working poor of Jefferson County. It has help thousands of families and individuals break the cycle of poverty and improve their lives and their community.

As a City Councilor, I served my constituents in Ward 2 as well as all Lakewood (pop. 144,000+) citizens to help formulate public policy. Responsible for over $185 million budget. Each year while on Council, we returned money to our reserve fund, even through the 2008 recession. I served as the Chair of the Lakewood Head Start Governing board and chaired the Screening Committee and the Fair Campaign Practices Act Committee. In 2014-2015 I served on the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Community Corrections Board.

Served as the President of Lakewood City Council after being elected by my fellow councilors. In this role, I was one of the Counicl Officers that helped to set council agenda items and topics for discussion. As Council President I facilitated the flow of ideas, worked closely with the Mayor and City Manager, and helped to organize the City Council 2013 Annual Planning Session.

Served as the President and Chair of the CPCU Society Leadership Council with responsibilities for our KPI's--knowledge, empowerment, and engagement to best serve 23,000+ members around the globe. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit many CPCU Chapter events such as I-Day and conferments as well as meet with industry professionals to talk about the CPCU journey. Everywhere I visited, I was overwhelmed with the enthusiasm, energy, and commitment that everyone had for their CPCU designation and for their CPCU involvement. This experience was heartwarming, enlightening, and unforgettable. I am forever grateful to the members for allowing me the opportunity and to my CPCU colleagues for their support.
