As a Language & Literature Teacher at Sacred Heart Schools Louisville, I use the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework to create engaging learning experiences for students. With a Ph. D. in French and over 16 years of experience in education, I am passionate about teaching languages, literatures, and cultures from diverse perspectives and contexts.I also frequently work as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus where I lead online courses in French to students around the globe. As a doctoral candidate, I published a peer-reviewed article that explored the effects of audio discussions on pronunciation development and willingness to communicate in second-language learners. I am motivated by the opportunity to inspire and empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals through positive learning experiences in the language and literature classroom.
