I have spent virtually my entire career in customer service positions, both in the private and public sectors, and with organizations of all sizes. I am passionate about superb service delivery and meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Knowing that my organization has successfully delivered for the customer gives me a tremendous sense of accomplishment.Currently, I work as an Advance Consultant. Previously I worked for the U.S. Department of Treasury. I began as a Conference Specialist in 2001, organizing small and large-scale events, some with extreme public and political visibility. I was steadily promoted through the years and eventually became the Business Operations Director for all strategic and operational activities for Mission Support Services at the Department. The position encompasses communications, special events, culinary operations and logistics support services, so the days were long and are fast-paced. I served as a Subject Matter Expert for strategic and entrepreneurial planning, juggling multiple programs and projects simultaneously. I led all administrative operations, including personnel management, training, budgeting & accounting, procurement, information resource management and contracting.Another part of the position was leading teams of employees, and building a work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity, including implementing employee engagement programs and developing employees so they can grow in their career and be happy in their daily work lives. It is gratifying to see people achieve their goals. I have a lot of pride in my organization and in the team members I have developed over the years.Outside of work, I enjoy anything having to do with sports and outdoor activities in general; I am an avid reader and I enjoy traveling.
