Most recently, I served as SRF's group leader for our Fargo and Bismarck offices. I assisted local governments in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota with zoning ordinances, comprehensive plans, transportation plans, corridor studies, and a variety of land use and transportation planning projects. I completed and oversaw the completion of several environmental clearance documents for transportation improvements. Several of these projects required extensive public involvement. I also worked with local governments in North Dakota to process monthly development applications such as subdivision applications, zoning changes, conditional use permits, and land use plan amendment applications. As part of this process, I also reviewed building permit applications to ensure zoning compliance.

Taught the principles of comprehensive plans, land use, land use planning, strategic plans, and zoning ordinances to landscape architecture and architecture students.

Completed the City's Growth Plan, administered the zoning ordinance, rewrote sections of the city's zoning ordinance as needed, reviewed and analyzed development proposals for subdivisions, zoning changes, comprehensive plans, and conditional use permits. Served as primary staff contact to the Planning Commission and worked with the City Commission. Also coordinated with Cass County and the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments.

Updated the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Transportation Plan, completed other transportation planning studies, initiated the Fargo-Moorhead community's research on federal regulations relating to railroad quiet zones, administered a steering committee for the I-94 noise analysis resulting in ND's first sound wall, coordinated with NDDOT regarding traffic projections for interstate highways, and completed the Fringe Area Land Use Plan for the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and Dilworth Metropolitan Area.

Completed and wrote traffic impact studies, completed land use plans for study areas included in transportation and waste water study areas, and made recommendations for transportation improvements.

Reviewed site plans for proposed developments to determine if circulation, access, roadway imrprovement, and on-site parking requirements were met. Met with developers, architects, and engineers to discuss changes needed to development plans. Also reviewed traffic impact studies. Wrote staff reports and conditions of approval. Presented reports to Transportation Commission, Planning Commission, and City Council.
