I have over 37 years of diverse transportation and land use planning experience. As Metro COG’s Executive Director, I work with other Metro COG staff as well as local staff, public officials and citizens of all of our local governments in the metro area, NDDOT, MNDOT and FHWA. Metro COG works with communities in the area, assisting them with comprehensive planning, transportation planning, growth management, land use, and development review. Much of my career has been focused on assisting local and state agencies with the challenges arising from fast-paced growth and developing planning tools that help encourage positive growth. From 2005-2014, I served on the board of directors of River Keepers, a non-profit organization established to protect and preserve the integrity and natural environment of the Red River. Since 2019, I have served on the Board of the Cass Clay Community Land Trust. Areas of Expertise: • Land Use and Comprehensive Planning• Development Planning• Growth Management Planning• Public Involvement• Zoning/Land Development Codes• Transportation Planning• Organizational Management and Budgeting• Staff Growth and Development
