The Alameda Food Bank distributes food six days a week to over 5100/year low-income residents of the City of Alameda, a city of 75,000 people in the San Francisco Bay Area. Reporting to a Board of Directors, have overall strategic, financial and operational responsibility for staff, activities, expansion, and execution of its mission. Provide direct supervision of 2 full- and 1 part-time staff and overall leadership to over 130 volunteers. Manage the acquisition, storage and transfer of all food inventories required to meet program objectives. Oversee maintenance and security of warehouse, distribution and office facilities and equipment, including vehicles. Supervise and participate in community food drives. With the Board, ensure compliance with applicable government laws and regulations.Assist in development of the operating budget; manage its progress; oversee and review all expenditures. Develop and execute capital expenditures schedule for Board. Act as chief liaison with auditors and all government/municipal agencies. Collaborate with the Fundraising Committee in the development and implementation of the annual fundraising plan; coordinate specific fundraising events and programs. Support grant writing and manage government grants. Steward, process and report all donations. Represent the Food Bank in the community and with related organizations; act as primary point of contact for city and county governmental departments, other local social service agencies.
