Managed the commissioning (Cx) of a $20M ozone system, consisting of 14 mechanical, electrical and instrumentation subsystems at Upper San Leandro (USL) Water Treatment Plant (60 MGD capacity).• Conducted weekly Cx progress meetings with internal stakeholders (Construction Management team, and O&M groups) and external stakeholders (Contractor and Subcontractors, Design Consultants) to plan, coordinate, implement and document system startup and commissioning at USL WTP. Managed and maintained Cx punchlist. • Inspected equipment installation, identified deficiencies and recommended corrections to contractors, recorded field changes in as-built drawings. • Developed and performed functional tests for each subsystem to verify the installed systems meet design intent and end-user needs. • Responsible for testing the following ozone subsystems: Liquid Oxygen, Ozone Generators and Power Supply Units, Compressed Air, Cooling Water, Ozone Destruct Blowers, Emergency Generator, Automatic Transfer Switches, Hydrogen Peroxide, HVAC, Fire, Life & Safety, and Instrumentation. • Performed instrumentation, control loop, input/output testing, and troubleshooted installation and operational issues with contractors. • Provided daily/weekly testing summaries to keep project team informed of project status.
