I spent 10 years working on the Heart of New Ulm Project through the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation in partnership with passionate talented community residents. Though retired I volunteer my time as a pragmatic, diplomatic collaborator skilled at bringing stakeholders together around the shared value of health to implement policy, systems and environmental changes that promote and sustain a culture of health. As an active listener and skilled facilitator, I am energized by building the capacity among community members to create and maintain positive changes that lead to a healthier and economically vibrant community. I volunteer my time on the Board of Bike MN and the Greater Mankato Bike Walk Advocacy Group to make active transportation a priority rather than an after thought.
