I worked here as a temporary position and stayed 7 years. I started as Department manager in the electronics department. I assisted in the sales and display of a huge inventory. I moved to support manager, then to assistant manager.

On a college assignment to interview District Managers for my degree in Business, I wound up being offered a job. At that time Radio shack did not have many women working for them. I knew nothing about diodes and resisters but I learned where they were and what they were.We sold the first home computer with 4K of memory and a Black and white screen. It was here the entrepreneurial spirit was really engrained in me. As a manager I controlled everything in the building with Tandy's Money. Full P&L ordering, hiring, training and selling.I moved up in stores to the highest volume store in our district in Fresno. I began training for a District position by leading 5 other stores.
