Allied Health Care Career Network members are Association House of Chicago, Chicago Commons, Erie Neighborhood House, Greater Humboldt Park Community of Wellness, and National Latino Education Institute. With a goal to ensure that adults achieve living wage positions in the allied healthcare field, I direct the Network in its mission to:- offer a career pathway comprised of education, training and employment services.-partner with employers, community colleges and other stakeholders-influence the workforce development system-leverage and build community resources.

• Develop, implement and evaluate an employment and career education program and its budget, serving ESL and GED adult students from 60 countries: Job Readiness and Placement: create and teach job readiness curriculum, provide jobseeker assessment and case management, increase annual job placements by 77%, establish tracking of job retention to report 93% retention rate Career Development: initiate and expand program to provide career development information, increasing access to job training and college• Coordinate employment and career development services with internal and external adult education programs to maximize awareness and outcomes• Oversee the development of Workplace ESL and GED classes• Create fundraising proposals and program reports, tripled funding from private foundations • Build collaborative relationships with colleges and job training programs, identify resources to support students with transition for further education, advise students • Create and maintain tracking and reporting system for program activities and outcomes, used for program evaluation and reports to funders

Co-Director, South Chicago Neighborhood Housing Collaboration 1994 - 1999• Co-created and directed new community development partnership that received recognition from Allstate and local Chamber of Commerce for innovation and impact • Built partnerships with city agencies, funders, community leaders, and neighborhood organizations, facilitating $1.2M annual investment in the community• Cultivated relationship with Allstate, generating $1M in financial support for expansion of new housing, youth and safety services for the neighborhood• Managed $500,000 budget and supervised staff for seven housing and community development programs serving low and moderate income families• Initiated and coordinated community building and promotion activities with community leaders• Developed and taught workshops at Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp. national conferences • Led council of neighborhood stakeholders in strategic community planning and outreach

• Identified resources to expand services for first time home buyers, resulting in creation of HUD Demonstration Program, Lease to Purchase Program, and Home Buyers Club, focusing primarily in Roseland, West Englewood, and Austin community• Increased family and community economic stability in low income neighborhoods by increasing home redevelopment and sales from three to thirty in three years• Supervised, trained and evaluated staff, grew team from one to eight staff members
