Once that is determined, my responsibilities shift to ensuring the loan process is seamless to the customer. Handling all of the steps from loan origination to closing are my responsibilities. These steps include analyzing loan applications, researching credit reports and financial inconsistencies, educating clients on closing costs, and compiling loan documentation for underwriting.A key accomplishment in this role includes:• Providing exceptional customer service to numerous mortgage applicants during tenure.

At First Southwest Bank, I oversaw the processing of real estate loans including secondary market, HELOC, bridge, home equity, and land loan transactions. Actively engaging with customers, I ensured the right mortgage offering aligned with their needs. I worked tirelessly building rapport and relationships with local realtors, and local business to drive loan growth.

In this role, I owned daily loan operations within the Mortgage Operations Department with responsibilities for underwriting, loan processing, closing, funding, and quality control. As a team leader, I scheduled staff based on consumer demand and workload. In addition, ensuring internal auditors had support needed to complete work steps related to compliance audits was my responsibility.Some achievements in this role included:• Correcting quality control deviations that hampered quality with work product.• Streamlining policies and procedures that increased productivity while reducing errors.

As a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor, I exceeded customer expectations by ensuring loan process from origination to closing was a smooth experience. I handled all loan disclosures, approvals, funding, and general ledger balancing duties. Post loan closing, I prepared loans to be sold to Freddie Mac and other outside investors.
