I am a JD candidate at the University of Toronto still exploring the area of law that I want to pursue. Before law school, I worked as a court interpreter for Mandarin-speaking newcomers in Saskatoon's Provincial and Traffic Courts, assisting with first appearances and trials. This experience sparked my interest in the courtroom dynamics and the art of litigation. Additionally, I’m intrigued by the intersection of technology and law, particularly how emerging technologies like AI challenge existing legal frameworks. This year, I’m joining the Future of Law Lab to work on an AI Safety & Liability project, where I will contribute to recommendations on balancing innovation with safety concerns. With only a month into my legal studies, I am eager to explore diverse legal paths and discover where my skills and interests best fit within the profession. Outside school, I enjoy watching indie films, practicing Pilates, and golfing. As someone new to Toronto, I’m enthusiastically diving into the city’s diverse food scene, attending cultural events, and discovering hidden gems in vintage stores.
