I was originally from Penang, Malaysia.Factually speaking, I was legally adopted at birth; through Social Welfare Services Department in Penang, Malaysia. I was only informed of my adoption at age 11. Since at the age of 5, I had been struggling constantly with low-mood, regular weeping, low self-esteem, worthlessness, anxiety, irritability, extreme lethargy/sluggishness/sleepiness, very poor concentration level, gastrointestinal problems, being socially-withdrawn and having morbid thoughts. Furthermore, my poor health conditions were made worse; by the fact that; I grew up in a trauma-inducing and oppressive domestic environment (that included countless corporal punishments, chronic invalidation, incessant criticism, etc.). Unfortunately; I was only professionally diagnosed later; as suffering from Major Depressive Disorder by a psychiatrist; after I survived a suicide attempt on my 17th birthday. As such, I have been battling with my mental illness; throughout most of my life. Anyway, as I had been struggling with lots of daily challenges (in a toxic and dysfunctional domestic environment) for a long time in Penang, and had been facing the lack of good career prospects in Penang, I decided to relocate to Singapore; in October 2000; to work as a customer services agent at Singapore Changi Airport. Hence, the job skills that I had acquired at Singapore Changi Airport; would be customer service, data-entry and teamwork. After I left my job at Singapore Changi Airport in June 2005; my other job skills that I had acquired when I was working in various companies in Singapore; would be data-entry and clerical. I had been living in Singapore as a Permanent Resident for many years; so I decided to take up Singapore Citizenship in 2014 and I officially received my Singapore Citizenship Certificate in February 2015.Thereafter, I worked as a Temp-Data-Entry-Staff in a marketing firm for a few months in 2015. Following that; from April 2016 to September 2016, I was taking care of my mother-in-law on a full-time basis, after she underwent bilateral mastectomy and hemithyroidectomy.Currently, I am not available for any job opportunities until further notice; due to my personal commitment in trying to manage my lifelong mental illness symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder.
