A seasoned Instructional Designer with over 30 years of experience, I have a passion for staying current in my industry regarding technology, methodology and adult learning principles. By working as a contractor for many organizations I've been afforded the opportunity to learn and implement best practices from instructional designers and organizations who are leaders in the field. My motivation stems from my design philosophy: It is not enough to build it; if training materials do not engage the learner then measurable knowledge transfer is not guaranteed. As well, I subscribe to the Michael Allen, CEO of Allen Interactions philosophy that knowledge is only as good as the learner's ability to use it.
