Cynthia Maxion was born in New York City and grew up in San Diego. She specializes in watercolor art, murals, public speaking, teaching and interior design. She is owner of Maxion Design, an interior design business and FitArt, an online eCommerce digital art shop. She graduated from San Diego State University. She then embarked on an adventure as an artist on an oceanographic expedition to Honduras and later worked for an architectural firm in New York city. Her first commission for Summa Corporation launched Maxion Design by painting murals for the legendary Howard Hughes in his Las Vegas airport. Cindy relocated her business to San Francisco where she worked for the next twenty years. There she gathered a team of artists and design professionals. Together their innovative artistry produced more than 2,000 murals and designed the interiors for more than 500 fitness clubs. Today her team uniquely integrates interior design, architecture and artwork with the custom millwork, lighting and play structures they also build and install. She has since moved back to San Diego where she started a family.
