Provide expert advice and direction on best practices for communicating hospital messages, official announcements, and other information pertinent to employees, patients, and the public. Extensively research and write all press releases, official statements, letters, media inquiries, staff bios, etc.; manage the hospital’s social media platforms, oversee creation of posts, graphics, employee recognition, photography, etc., monitor and analyze social media metrics to determine best practices to increase engagement and reach; manage and write content for the GMHA monthly newsletter; manage part-time graphic designer, review/approve designs, text, and coordinate project schedule to ensure requests from other departments are completed; working with IT to create a new website design with increased functionality; write, film, and oversee production of hospital videos regarding hospital procedures like admissions, what to expect, billing, and translating each into most common languages used in Guam; respond to public inquiries received via social media, email, phone call, or via another department; review/manage/create new hospital policies related to marketing, communication, social media use, media interaction, etc.; oversee official Communications email inbox, send and receive messages from/to staff, media, organizations, etc.; member of the Hospital Incident Command Center during emergencies, member of the PIO/PAO Incident Command at GHS/OCD.
