Dana Corporation is an American-based worldwide supplier of powertrain components such as axles, driveshafts, off-highway transmissions, sealing and thermal-management products, and service parts. I worked for and with various divisions of this multi-billion-dollar corporation. Positions included:*Brand Development Manager: I developed and implemented product strategies, policies, pricing, and promotions for the brake program. I was instrumental in creating Dana’s aftermarket brake distribution task force to direct aftermarket product strategies. I integrated two multi-million-dollar product lines, orchestrating the associated product launch. And, I implemented a plant and warehouse fill-rate reporting system to increase senior management awareness of distribution challenges and secure support for future programs.*Technical Service Representative: I specified products and solved technical problems for warehouse distributors, original equipment engineers, and end-user customers. I earned Excellence in Service awards (1995, 1998) and ASE truck certifications (drivetrain 1995, brakes 1996). And, I developed technical and sales documentation to help distributors, engineers, marketing personnel, and product planning group members.*Writer/Producer: I helped develop the client base as part of this in-house agency and managed technical and promotional communication projects from proposal through completion. Duties included establishing budgets and deadlines; writing, editing, and producing literature and scripts; directing video productions and photo shoots; hiring vendors; and billing completed projects.
