As a civil engineer with over 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, I am committed to advancing sustainable infrastructure and electrification in Kenya. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Harbin Engineering University in China, and I am currently enhancing my expertise with a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi. My work is driven by a passion for creating engineering solutions that are both impactful and sustainable, especially in underserved communities.In my role as a Construction Engineer at the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), I play a vital part in the design, supervision, and execution of grid and renewable energy projects across the country. My day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring the highest standards of construction, preparing comprehensive project reports, and providing on-site technical guidance to contractors. I also conduct factory acceptance test to verify the quality and safety of critical materials like concrete poles and stay blocks.My technical proficiency spans AutoCAD, PKPM, and ArcGIS, which I use to craft precise structural drawings and project plans. I am also fluent in English, Swahili, and Chinese, enabling me to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and project teams.
