Cindy has more than 20 years of audit, accounting, business advisory and management experience, having worked for an international accounting firm and a global manufacturing firm prior to joining Barnes Dennig.She has audit experience in a number of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare and non-profits. Her advisory experience includes profit improvement, benchmarking analysis, international issues, M&A/due diligence, financing, operational audits and internal controls. She is a key member of the firm’s employee benefit plan audit and tax compliance team.Over the past year, she has been asked to speak numerous times on the new Recovery Audit Contractor program, a regulatory change that has significantly altered how healthcare providers document and bill their services. Cindy is a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Health Care Committee and PKF North America’s Health Care Committee.For five years prior to joining Barnes Dennig, Cindy was Vice President and CFO of a global manufacturing company. During her tenure, the company grew annual sales more than 50% to $100 million. While there, Cindy led negotiations, due diligence, and integration of acquisitions, created incentive compensation programs, negotiated long-term financing and managed banking relationships in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Her responsibilities included oversight of the company’s finance, accounting, information technology and risk management functions. She was a member of the company’s Executive Committee.Cindy was recognized in 2005 and again in 2010 as one of the 100 “Wise Women” in our community. She was named one of the “Leading Women” in Manufacturing in Greater Cincinnati in 2005, and in 2008 she was a finalist for the Athena Award. She founded Barnes Dennig’s Women’s Growth and Development Initiative, and she has assisted numerous companies with their Women's Business Enterprise certification.
