Clinical Supply Utilization Benchmarking consists of analyzing purchase data to look for cost effective practices that align with clinical best practices; developing clinical supply utilization presentations, action plans and documents used by member hospitals to assist in identifying and achieving savings through process and utilization improvements. As Utilization Project Manager my responsibilities included managing the project calendar, portfolio and activities of Supply Utilization Benchmarking team as well as training, mentoring, clinical research, auditing of analytics, reporting and meeting facilitation. During my time in the position, we doubled the portfolio offering from 40 categories to over 81 active categories. We diversified the portfolio from 2 different service areas solely in the acute care setting, to 5 different service areas, including 2 categories in the long term care setting, greatly expanding the value of the program into a new start up company.Goal tracking and year over year trend analysis in each individual category proved to increase membership achieved savings to over $6,000,000 per year and a continued increase each year.
