Selected for high profile detail (yearlong assignment) as one of 3 providing daily intelligence and operations briefs to the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and other senior leaders at DHS.-Reviewed intelligence reports and analyses of issues pertaining to national security, and provided complete and accurate verbal briefs directly to the Secretary of DHS, and formal podium-style briefs to the executive team.-Championed and established processes and procedures, and created a quality control structure that improved the quality of the Secretary’s operations and intelligence briefs.

Baghdad, Iraq

Selected for 6 month temporary detail to DOD in Baghdad, Iraq. Conducted criminal investigations of procurement fraud involving DOD contracts - specifically, violations of law that were associated with the management and execution of appropriated funds by CPA. Provided on-site intelligence input to superiors and field officers involved in major criminal investigations; coordinated investigations, intelligence projects and highly sensitive corruption cases with other law enforcement agencies, Department of Justice attorneys, contracting firms, and US Military (including a special operations task force) representatives; reviewed and provided daily security briefings which enabled CPA teams to operate successfully in an extremely hostile and impermissible environment in Iraq. I was also the Firearms Trainer responsible for providing qualifications and training in 9mm Sig Sauer Pistol and qualifications and familiarization training in M-4 Carbine for CPA agents in Baghdad Field Office.
