It's a bit of a milestone to say that you have been working full-time in the staging industry since 2007, really at this point staging was just beginning to find it's legs in Vancouver. My first staging job: A wonderful friend had suggested a career in staging to me as she'd seen my flair for design over the years. I looked into some training through the Canadian ReDesigners Association and before I could even sign up for the course this same friend dropped a bombshell, told me she was moving and asked me to prepare her home for sale. Reluctantly I set to work, gave them their homework, dressed their space and it sold within 10 hours of the first showing!No looking back: from that point on it was all systems GO! Jennifer and I met and here we are, almost 6 years later with hundreds of staged properties in the Greater Vancouver area in our portfolio, a wonderful roster of talented Realtors that we work with on a regular basis and a growing, thriving business!Urban Presentations is a full service property staging company operated in the Greater Vancouver Area. We work closely with homeowners and Realtors to prepare and market their properties for faster sale and higher sale prices. We create beautiful staging designs that compliment the architectural details of the property and appeal to the broadest target audience. As a long time foodie and practicing domestic goddess I enjoyed working in a culinary environment. I was committed to raising my children without the help of daycare and this position allowed me to combine my goals and passions. I worked with like-minded women who all shared the love of food and home. I am not sure my wages ever surpassed what I spent on Le Creuset, Calphalon, Paderno, Cookbooks and fine bakeware - I was and remain inspired by Nigella Lawson, Martha Stewart and Julia Childs.
