The achievement I’m most proud of started with a slew of unprocessed new hires and angry hiring managers. The problem was the organization’s inability to locate new hire paperwork throughout a labyrinthian new hire process on a campus with 1700+ faculty and staff. Fingers were pointed, tempers flared, and productivity suffered as new hires were not processed. I created an Access database to track every step in the hire process. It worked so well that stakeholders across the campus wanted it. I led a team of programmers and hiring managers to create a campus-wide tool to track the new hire workflow and paperwork, trained users on the system and resolved issues.
