About Mark Walker

I have over 25 years experience working in the Moving Image industry; both in Australia and the UK. I’ve studied a BA Globalisation (History & Politics majors), BFA (Honours) Media Arts and completed an MA in the School of Graduate Research at RMIT, under scholarship.With over 15yrs delivering screen outcomes for MIFF, I’ve solidified my position in the cinema & visual arts industry. In 2015 I conceived and launched The Pivotonian Cinema; an independent cinema screening a range of films in Geelong; whereby my ownership of the cinema included management, graphic design, programming and technical. I am currently developing a new independent cinema in Collingwood.I’ve successfully staged numerous Video, Sound and Photographic installations and held a solo show in Kyoto, Japan (among ongoing International exhibitions). I won the RSG Excellence in New Media award, have been employed in digital growth strategies in SE Asia, and was shortlisted as a finalist for the Incinerator Art Prize.
