I'm a documentary filmmaker based in Armenia, with a strong background in managing and implementing TV, LIVE, and multimedia production. I've spent my career handling every aspect of video and film production, including scriptwriting, filming, editing, and post-production, along with effectively distributing content on social media.My knowledge extends beyond filmmaking to include basic WordPress and WIX back-end moderation, enabling me to build online platforms for my video content. I've also reported from hotspots in our region, such as the Nagorno-Karabakh war (2020), Velvet Revolution of Armenia (2018), Armenian-Azerbaijani border (summer 2014), and Syria (April 2014). These experiences have taught me to adapt to fast-paced environments, where mobile applications, quick filming, and rapid editing and uploading are essential. In 2020, during the war in Artsakh launched by Azerbaijan, I worked as a fixer with the BBC World Service and independent war reporters, helping them cover human stories and depict the reality on the ground.During my six years as the manager of video production at CivilNet TV, I established the corporate video production segment, CivilNet Studio, and created a diverse range of multimedia products, from documentaries to PSAs and infographics.Sharing knowledge has always been important to me, and I've conducted training sessions for colleagues and students, teaching them Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, TriCaster, Datavideo Video Switch control, and video directing skills.From 2018 to 2021, I managed the Creative Europe Desk Armenia, where I promoted EU cultural grants among Armenian cultural operators and supported them in the application process. My involvement in the creative industries of Armenia and Europe continues as a Council Member of Europa Nostra and as the co-founder and president of Blue Shield Armenia.Managing the Media cluster of Gagarin Project by DAR Foundation for Regional Development and Competitiveness has been a transformative journey through innovation, education, agriculture, and media. I've created documentaries and promoted activities within the framework of Gagarin Project, including hosting events and presentations with international partners. One of the highlights has been hosting TEDxTsaghkunk in September 2023.Currently, I teach visual storytelling at Hetq Media Factory and take time to work on my individual documentary projects.
