I am a professional with exceptional leadership and visionary qualities. I share my passion with the community and I have a vast social networking system that promotes positive behaviors. I feel that there are many, successful initiative for improving our communities and we need to help them grow by volunteering our time or hiring skilled staff. I have embarked on a new journey- writing and blogging about my journey of being a 25+ year cancer survivor. Cancer to Coffee for Purpose" I am in the beginning stages of this journey but I know I have the skills to make it successful! I haven't forgotten about my day job with CASA of Venango County.org. I have been with CASA of Venango County for 13 years. The program had a rough start and a very rocky middle and now we are poised for continued growth. I would like to outline just a few of the accomplishments I achieved in this past ten years as Director. Initially, the Agency took the position that CASA and the Volunteers were overstepping and that CASA was telling the Agency how to administer cases. This mindset did not create a positive relationship. In 2010, I wanted to “save” our CASA program and take it to a new level as its own stand-alone organization. I worked with our current leaders within our community to stabilize our program and bring it to a stand-alone organization you see today. I made good on the promises I made to Bill and Judge Lobaugh that our program would have highly trained volunteers, quality volunteers, and that we would also have a symbiotic relationship between Venango County Children, Youth and Family Services and CASA. I have been told that I have the uncanny ability to recruit solid and dedicated volunteers and train them so they are an integral part of the Dependency & Permanency Practice Initiatives and I have done with limited funding. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss more of my leadership abilities, & accomplishments.
