I am a 2011 Teach For America Corps Member; I have taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade at Success Academy Charter Schools over the past 5 years. For the last academic year, I have been employed as Assistant Principal at Success Academy Williamsburg responsible for the management and development of all 3rd and 4th grade teachers. I am British born and educated, I moved to the US in 2008.Over the last 9-10 years, I have worked within the non-profit sector in grant-giving, fundraising, and program development, across a broad range of charitable organizations. Throughout my career, I have maintained a long term passion for working within education and believe very strongly in the importance of addressing educational inequity.I am an active volunteer across a broad range of initiatives in NYC. Before joining TFA, I led weekly mentoring sessions between groups of low-income individuals and business professionals, to improve their workplace skills and build employment networks as the bridge to a successful career. I also tutored high school children from low-income communities to prepare for their SAT exam, through weekly 2-hour sessions.I am extremely excited to be a part of the Success Charter Network helping to ensure all children receive an excellent education.

Key Responsibilities: Organized regional events to promote the work of the Earth Institute and cultivate new supporters; Identified funding priorities, developed campaign plans and implemented funding strategies across units; Developed communication materials in print and web format to increase awareness of the Earth Institute; Managed a portfolio of prospects and supported the Campaign Committee to advance the campaign goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities: Project managed new initiatives for HRH, including a UK-wide farmers marketing initiative and overseas projects; Established strategies for collaborative working across `The Prince's Charities'; Organized high profile fundraising events and galas to support The Prince's Charities; Engaged in ongoing marketing and communication exercises to increase awareness of the `The Prince's Charities' brand; Developed the fundraising strategies of `The Prince's Charities' ­ prepared fundraising proposals, briefed donors, gained new supporters and ensured long term financial viability for all the charities; Optimized donor relationship management, created donor database, identified new funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities: Completed assessments of all grant applicants (~800 p.a.) and recommended level of investment to the Trustees; Managed the Foundation's grants budget (£2m p.a.), provided regular analysis on geographic and thematic distribution; Developed the Foundation's grant making policies, pioneered the introduction of the first major grant program to demonstrate increased effectiveness in grant-making through larger, more focused grant distribution; Managed team of regional volunteer visitors including recruitment, training and assignment of visits; Evaluated impact of grants, managed grants database and published annual report / accounts / policy reports.
