- Apply knowledge of basic epidemiology, health and racial equity, cultural competency, case investigation and contact tracing methods, in order to identify and remove barriers in Santa Clara County’s communities most impacted by COVID-19 through trainings provided by UCLA Virtual Training Academy, a Case Investigation Course by John Hopkins University, and multiple weekly hour trainings moderated by various Santa Clara County and Heluna Health personnel in public health and medical departments- Have informed over 200 cases of their COVID-19 test results or contacts of exposure, gathered information on close contacts and symptoms, provided proper isolation or quarantine guidelines, and promoted positive behavioral changes through motivational interviewing while practicing HIPAA standards- Work as an enhanced CICT managing COVID-19 households for the High Touch and Door to Door Program by facilitating resource coordination, which includes emergency housing, financial assistance, urgent food resources, and health care enrollment for underserved communities in Santa Clara County in collaboration with Stanford researchers, Santa Clara County’s Public Health Department, METAS community organization leads and promotoras, and other non-profit organizations - Use CalConnect, a statewide database system, to input data and provide case analysis and common trends to California’s Public Health Department- Have increased the quantity of information about resources for COVID-19 cases and work methods to improve the care they receive through leading a weekly CICT meeting presentation, as well as, actively participating in a panel in the training of new CICT

- As a CHW in the Business Engagement Team of the Office of Labor and Standards Enforcement (OLSE), I canvassed over 500 small businesses and engaged both, employers and employees, in order to educate them about the County’s Public Health Order- Provided businesses, with a focus in areas heavily impacted by COVID-19, with social distancing posters, face coverings, COVID-19 resource materials, and OLSE resources, as well as, demonstrated proper mask wearing and effective social distancing practices for employees and employers- Connected businesses, both employers and employees, with resources that aided in compliance, such as: economic support programs, legal assistance, and free COVID-19 testing information - Was part of a team of CHWs who drafted improvements to the methods and structure of the Business Engagement Team in order to increase work efficiency, further the professional development of CHWs, and train new CHWs
