CurrentIn my role as an Environmental Consultant at En-Sure, I am responsible for a broad range of projects aimed at promoting sustainability and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. My work focuses on the following key areas:Climate-Proofing Reports: Leading the preparation of climate-proofing reports for large-scale projects, ensuring that infrastructure and developments are resilient to climate change impacts, in line with EU Commission Notice 2021/C 373/01 guidelines.Auditing and Environmental Management Systems: As a certified ISO 14001 internal auditor, I conduct thorough audits to assess the performance of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for both private and public sector clients. I ensure compliance with ISO 14001, EMAS, and certification standards like LEED and BREEAM.Air Quality Monitoring: Carrying out comprehensive air quality monitoring activities to assess environmental impacts, with a focus on minimizing dust pollution in sensitive areas.Waste Management: Designing and implementing sustainable waste management plans, including waste classification, recycling strategies, and proper disposal methods for various industries, including hospitality, construction, and commercial buildings.Land Contamination Assessments: Developing detailed method statements and conducting soil sampling to assess land contamination. I prepare comprehensive reports to guide decisions on environmental compliance.Green Travel Plans: Contributing to the creation and implementation of sustainable transportation strategies for businesses, focusing on reducing environmental footprints through green travel initiatives.Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Project Description Statements (PDS): Providing expert contributions to EIAs, particularly in hydrology and geology sections, and assisting with the preparation of PDS for a variety of projects.
