As a Director my main role is to focus on the generation of new business as well as providing a "Centre of Excellence" to my existing clients, through the use of award-winning technology, and business-focussed, innovative safety management solutions. I deliver Health and Safety services to a variety of private sector businesses to include FTSE100 companies, Housing Associations, Engineering firms and private individuals.

I provided full safety management services, operational on-site auditing support to this client in the undertaking of safety audits across a wide range of premises including retail units and office buildings

Whilst at pcm Safety, I successfully developed and implemented a new portfolio of corporate safety services for a business that previously had specialised primarily in the provision of CDM Coordinators and Construction Safety. Clients included both private and public sectors as well as across industries. This company was bought out by Confluence and became known as Confluencepcm. I provided property compliance audits, corporate governance reviews, risk management, advisory consultancy and portfolio management for my clients. This included developing and producing bespoke services specific for client requirements, using technology to manage the information and provide a first class service.

I managed safety and monitored standards for all contracted services, (in excess of 300 suppliers) and in-house services across the Sainsbury’s Property Division portfolio (trading properties - in excess of 650 including stores, depots and head office buildings; and non-trading properties in excess of 750 including green/brown field sites, vacant units, estates management, retail parks). I conducted contractor performance audits, reviewing current performance levels and formulating action plans to correct any shortfalls in the quality of service delivered, including demonstration of visible accident reductions year on year.I worked closely across many areas of the business to demonstrate compliance of contractors in health and safety, food safety, fire, legislative, and statutory as well as dealing with insurance claims. I also managed the safety of the colleagues within the Property Division.I was responsible for the training and development the call centre employees safety knowledge who operated the FM Call Centre 7 days a week 24 hours a day handling 12,000 maintenance calls from stores per week. I raised their awareness of H&S, and equipment knowledge in order to reduce maintenance issues across the whole portfolio.

I developed the capabilities of my team through performance management and succession planning delivering safety advice to approximately 100 stores in the South West. I liaised with District and Regional Senior Management and Directors regarding the implementation of the health and safety strategy. Also ensuring all supermarkets received guidance and support from their safety advisers, including risk assessments, annual audits and compliance checks in line with statutory and company guidelines.I delivered Health and Safety Training Courses targeted at Senior Management,Store and Duty Managers.
