Hi! I'm Stephanie, and I am an urban planner, circular economy policy leader, public speaker, and relentless optimist. ♻️ My work bridges disciplines to inspire more intersectional climate action in practice.I love illuminating the connected threads between material reuse, cultural heritage, workforce development, and affordable housing through my writing, visual communication, and presentations. I believe cross-sector partnerships are essential to creating a more environmentally just building industry. My role in developing and administering groundbreaking deconstruction policy in San Antonio has helped inform efforts in communities around the country, ranging from Baltimore to Seattle to Nantucket and beyond. I am known for communicating complex topics such as embodied carbon and landfill tonnage to diverse audiences in an engaging, accessible way to catalyze action and change.Through impact roles including Co-Founder at Circular San Antonio, Board Member at reuse advocacy nonprofit Build Reuse, Steering Committee member at the Climate Heritage Network, and 2023 J.M.Kaplan Innovation Prize Awardee, I am committed to building interdisciplinary, silo-busting partnerships that help build local, equitable, and inclusive reuse ecosystems.
