Audit Data and Advanced Analytics is a centre of excellence in the application of advanced analytics to audit activities.Within the Audit ISP we deal with three main activities:- Data research and provision of new data sources and datasets- Development of customised analyses during strategically important audit assignments or for application on an ongoing basis- Development and delivery of training activities on data analysis to improve the general level of data literacy within the Chief Audit Officer's area.

Coordination of a team of Analysts in the execution of projects related to the introduction and development of advanced analytics and data science within the Audit area.

Within the Audit Department, I perform and coordinate audit engagements aimed at verifying the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control system. In carrying out the checks, I apply data analysis and machine learning techniques to the study and assessment of the audit universe, including the scope of credit risk (PD, LGD, new Default definition) and bank provisioning processes (IFRS9). The analyzes carried out are mainly developed in R and SAS language.

Within the Internal Audit Department of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, I carry out audits aimed at verifying the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control system. In carrying out the checks, I apply data analysis and machine learning techniques to the study and assessment of the audit universe. I worked as an Internal Auditor in FNM s.p.a., an Italian listed company among the biggest for railway transportation.Besides the conduction of fraud, financial and operational audits, I have been engaged on Risk Assessment Activities in order to define the Annual Audit Plan.To enhance the robustness of applied audit methodology I developed a risk-based statistical sampling methodology consisting of the association between process risks and attributes of the auditable entities. I have also developed an internal audit software, Integrated Audit System, aimed at reshaping the working methodology of the function in order to increase its compliance to the Professional Practice Framework.

I have been working as external auditor for ITAGAAP and IAS/IFRS major Italian companies.I have been working as a consultant for the development of a tailor-made software solutions aimed at managing flows of structured data in order to obtain fair value of financial derivatives for a major international company in the energy sector.
