CurrentProvide respite and support for family members and patients. Family members must balance caring for their loved one with their daily routines. Often, everyday activities become neglected. Hospice volunteers provide families necessary assistance in the form of performing household chores, running errands or just offering friendship in a time of need. Hospice volunteers are required to provide the hospice information pertaining to patients’ behavioral and health changes and keep documentation of each visit. Hospice volunteers may also provide bereavement assistance and medication delivery.
