With a background in Software Engineering, he has more than 25 years of experience managing diverse teams in tech departments, from Platforms backend development to Digital products, as well as Mobile native and hybrid apps, covering the entire SDLC.As the leader of the Engineering team, Ciro fosters the value of good design, support and ongoing maintenance when creating digital products that fit into an internal services ecosystem, serving departments as varied as Editorial and Advertising. This approach includes a strong emphasis on DevOps and SRE practices. Ciro founded the Telegraph Engineering community to promote tech innovation culture across departments and beyond. The community achieves this through a combination of Medium blog posts and internal and external Meetup events. Focused on Tech, Team Collaboration, Diversity and Leadership, the Meetups have seen The Telegraph partner with external communities and companies such as Google, Adobe, Leadership Coaching, The Economist, DAZN, and Jetbrains.In his spare time, Ciro is passionate about technology, sketching, IoT prototyping and is a huge fan of the latest culinary innovations, alongside wine tasting.
