I spearheaded the transition from Emery back to the Postal Service. Prior to the facility opening, I was awarded the Plant Manager position. In this position I managed a large mail processing facility that concentrated on processing solely Priority Mail. In this position I was one of three Postal employees assigned to the Miami PMPC which was a contracted facility. I was responsible to ensure that Emery Worldwide, (the contractor), was held accountable to the conditions of the contract.

I was one of two individuals assigned as Postal Liaisons and main purpose was to ensure that the contract was abided by. In this position I was a Headquarters employee domiciled in Miami.

At this time, the Postal Service was testing the concept of consolidating the processing of Priority Mail from a few large districts into one facility. We took a warehouse with dock doors and turned it into a twenty-four hour a day mail processing facility. I developed work methods and designs that are still in use today in facilities around the country. We proved that if this concept could be successful in New York, it could be successful anywhere.

I oversaw the activities of the Business centers, which worked with small and medium size businesses.
