As Highland Ambassador I offer the support and services of SiMBA, Simpson's Memory Box Appeal to parents bereaved through the loss of a baby before, during or after birth. I am passionate about reaching all areas of the NHS Highland area, which comprises the largest and most sparsely populated part of the UK. We offer precious Memory Boxes with items that can be placed alongside baby, a leaf on our stunning Tree of Tranquility in the serene gardens of the botanical gardens in Inverness. I facilitate a monthly support group and offer one on one support to individuals and families. We also organise fund raising eventsIt is my vision for reach bereaved parents throughout the Highlands of Scotland, no matter how rural the area they live in.It is our aim to ~* provide a continued supply of the precious Memory Boxes & Blankets of Love to Maternity Units * raise awareness of miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death through media, talks, & mail shots.* offer support, understanding and empathy to families who have experienced baby loss, through online support, one-to-one visits & monthly support groups.* raise funds for SiMBA, Simpson’s Memory Box Appeal.* provide Family Rooms within maternity units, to give parents the opportunity to spend further precious time with and prepare to say goodbye to their baby in peaceful and private accommodation.* raise Trees of Tranquility in all areas as a comfort to families
