Ciara is a graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, by which she acquired both her B.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. (with concentrations in Accounting and Finance) in the total of four years. Following her education, she worked for about two years as an Audit Associate for the Big Four accounting firm KPMG, primarily in the Asset Management business line of the Philadelphia, PA office. Subsequently, Ciara worked as an Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisor for TBH Consulting LLC in Charlotte, NC for two and a quarter years, where her primary fields of focus were on financial statement disclosures and purchase accounting. With an itch to move into Operational Accounting, Ciara made the strategic move to Lavoie CPA, an outsourced accounting service firm also headquartered in Charlotte, where she worked as an (remote-based) Accounting Manger for clients primarily in both the healthcare and non-profit industries. Remaining with the company for about a year and a half, Ciara then decided to make another strategic move to develop her expertise in the e-commerce sector, an industry that is growing exponentially and in desperate need of accountants who specialize in the niche. In 2023, Ciara took a role as an (remote-based) Accounting Manager at ECOM CPA, an outsourced accounting services firm for ecommerce clients, where she directed the Accounting department, managed a growing team and helped to scale and strategically build out processes, structure and training within. Ciara now owns and works part-time as a Virtual CFO for her own boutique accounting firm (BBB) that also specializes in outsourced accounting & CFO services for ecommerce & other creative entrepreneurs.
