Our neighbors count on us for low-cost sterilization services and affordable/accessible wellness care for their pets. We are also a trusted provider of sterilization services to animal shelters and municipalities in need of veterinary support for their shelter animals to include hosting community events that provide free vaccines, pet food distribution and spay/neuter vouchers. Planned PEThood also provides pet adoptions - specializing in working (aka "barn") cats.

Responsible for over 70 staff and 1,000+ volunteers performing such duties as - animal welfare/sheltering, shelter/veterinary medicine, behavior, volunteer management, disaster response, and community outreach/food and supply distribution to underserved communities. Also responsible for oversight of a statewide initiative providing capital improvements to under-resourced animal shelters across the state of Georgia. $10 million budget. Partnered closely with AHS's Fundraising/Development/Corporate Sponsorship and Marketing teams to create and implement fundable/measurable programs. Guided staff through COVID in an industry without "work at home" options and had zero layoffs. Coached staff and volunteers through new building move, opened and closed pet adoption facilities based on community need. Provides leadership to a team in a highly emotional workplace. Networks and provides program development, implementation and management in underserved communities centering on animal welfare yet inclusive of overall community well-being and keeping families together. Responsible for programmatic success via both staff and volunteers at multiple locations. Works directly with Board of Directors on strategic initiatives and long-term vision.

Responsible for day-to-day operations at multi-location animal welfare organization to include staff and volunteer teams - approximately 2,000 individuals. Established operational protocols, worked in conjunction with fundraising and marketing teams. Represented organization via television, radio and print. Launched innovative behavior and training programs throughout community.

Key member of original development team of an innovative distance learning certification program for Animal Assisted Therapy. Created and instructed program's critical module on companion animal learning theory, animal assessment/communication and behavior modification. Students consisted of human service professionals (therapists, nurses, teachers, social workers, etc.).

Only paid staff member, reporting directly to a Board of Directors responsible for implementing strategic initiatives for a national membership organization. Responsible for coordinating with contract legal counsel, overall budget management, and communication/process development for 7 committees and over 4,000 paid members. Networked and established member benefits and developed member recruitment and retention programs.

From 1986 through 2002 - held similar positions in marketing program management at the above listed organizations. Duties with these organizations included the production of corporate sponsored publications, the creation and implementation of direct mail campaigns, and the development/analysis of human resource tools for corporations.
