Starting my career in the water distribution field in early 2022 as a water maintenance worker on the distribution system in Fall River, Massachusetts, I strived to better myself in the field. I attended New England Water Works Association Distribution Grade 1 class completed in November 2022, and passed my state licensing exam in December of 2022. In April of 2023 I accepted the position of Senior Engineering aide, where my primary responsibility would be tracking repairs and leaks completed by both city and contractors, and documenting the information, along with inspection for compliance when contractors completed work on our distribution system. along with that aspect of my position, I also review plans for new constructions and redevelopment to assure the proposed water connection meets city specifications, and assist in planning phased water main replacement. I successfully completed the New England Water Works Association Distribution Grade 2 - 4 class in December of 2023, along with passing my state examination for Grade 2 operator. In January, 2024 I passed my Grade 3 operator exam and received my Grade 2 and Grade 3 Water Distribution Operator in Training licenses for both Grade 2 and Grade 3. I am passionate about the water field and plan to continue to expand my knowledge relating to potable water distribution.
